Thriving on inconsistencies

Core replaced in fickle gods warp drive

It’s been quite a while since I’ve posted anything here. I’ve had a look at some of the dates as I was doing the overhaul and there’s been no major activity for over a year. With this announcement I also hope to end this long lull of nothingness.

So fickle gods has undergone some major changes- most of which you won’t ever recognize (which is good). Apart from the logo I’ve tried to keep most of the look of the website the same. One thing you will notice right away is that commenting has been replaced by Facebook’s commenting system. As a web-developer I do see certain drawbacks to that, but for the viewer it should enable a smoother commenting experience, provided you have a Facebook account (Who the hell doesn’t have a Facebook account these days?!?).

The second major change is that I’ve switched the site engine to WordPress. This way I can use all it’s great tools to pump out occasional posts rich with images and text formatting. The main reason for doing is is actually to get a live website to use for trying out some simple WordPress themes. Only one thing that kinda sucks is that all the links to the old articles are now broken because WordPress assigned new number ID’s to the articles. Oh well, we’ll just have to live with that, won’t we?

Anyway, that’s that for now. Take care and enjoy the new fickle gods website!
